Shao Dow

Shao Dow is a London-born independent rapper and manga author whose music sits at the crossroads of hip-hop, anime, and gaming culture. Rapping in both English and Japanese, he blends sharp lyricism with influences drawn from martial arts and Japanese pop culture — a sound that has earned him the AIM Award for Hardest Working Artist and a nomination for Best Live Performer at the 2022 AIM Awards.

He wrote “Thunder Roll” for Fortnite’s Mega City update — featured in the trailer, lobby theme, and emote — and has since partnered with Borderlands 4 for an original song and animated video. His music has also been used by Sony and PlayStation for an official anniversary video.
