Managona

MANAGONA is a duo whose music sits at the intersection of sound art, visual technology, and contemporary composition. Founding members Lee Mao-Sung and Cheng Wan-Yi, both graduates of the Conservatoire de Versailles in France, bring classical training and independent sensibility into a single, freely navigating voice.

Rooted in the minimalist traditions of Terry Riley and the stochastic compositions of Iannis Xenakis, their sound is built on weaving percussion rhythms, acoustic instruments, and electronic textures — hypnotic in structure, physical in impact. Their self-titled debut album MANAGONA opens with percussion and pulls the listener steadily into an altered sonic reality from there.
